Our story

Built in the shadow of the forts

Three centuries ago these ridgelines carried watch-fires between the strongholds of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj. Every bastion was placed where the land itself gave advantage — high, quiet, impossible to surprise.

We built Shivaji Resort with the same instinct. Locally quarried basalt and sandstone, lime-plastered arches, teak jharokhas and open courtyards that catch the monsoon wind. Nothing imported, nothing imitated — just Maratha craft, kept alive by the same families who cut the stone.

The fort trek and the Malvani dinner afterwards — that combination alone will bring us back.
